    position Summary

    The Driver position is responsible for the delivery of products to the customers of DWF Wholesale Florists. This position is critical to DWF Wholesale Florists; the Driver position provides outstanding customer service, and makes efficient, accurate and safe deliveries of products which ultimately impacts the customer experience and the profitability of DWF Wholesale Florists.

    Hours

    • Monday: 4:00 am – 3:00 pm
    • Tuesday: 5:00 am – 2:00 pm
    • Wednesday: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
    • Thursday: 5:00 am – 2:00 pm
    • Friday: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
    • Saturday: Rotating schedule every 5-6 weeks.
    • Weekend hours may be needed during holiday times.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensures outstanding customer service.
    • Delivers the correct product to customers safely.
    • Observes all traffic regulations.
    • Observes customer directed delivery instructions regarding parking, entrances, exits, etc.
    • Prevents distracted driving (i.e. no cell phone use while driving, etc.).
    • Provides feedback on the most efficient delivery routes.
    • Collects proof of delivery signatures.
    • Collects money on CODs.
    • Returns signed proof of delivery signatures and cash collections to bookkeeper, daily.
    • Notifies manager of delivery errors (i.e. short ships, damaged product, etc.), immediately.
    • Directs customer service issues to manager.
    • Maintains cleanliness of company vehicles.
    • Reports on the status of vehicle maintenance.

    • Identifies and understands all flowers stocked in the cooler.
    • Ensures overall product quality.
    • Assists Fresh and Hardgoods Buyers in adjusting purchase orders (POs), as necessary.
    • Ensures fresh and hardgoods POs are finalized within 24 hours of the vendor truck departing from the vendor location.
    • Ensures box labels for incoming trucks are printed 24 hours before the inbound truck arrives.
    • For weekend product arrivals, ensures box labels are printed by end of day Friday.
    • Assists in receiving inventory, as needed.
    • Reviews customer order allocations to ensure printing of “picking lists”, daily.
    • Assists in unpacking of product for the next day’s allocations. Ensures all processes that can be done for the next day are completed.
    • Documents order discrepancies on “picking lists” and coordinates with the Buyer and/or Manager for proper adjustment in Traze.

    The Driver position is responsible for the delivery of products to the customers of DWF Wholesale Florists.     Responsibilities:

    • Ensures outstanding customer service.

    The Warehouse Specialist position assists the Branch Manager in maintaining the company’s warehouse operations. This position is critical to The Denver Wholesale Florists Company (DWF); the Warehouse Specialist position supports and specializes in overall care and handling of warehouse and delivery operations, which ultimately impacts the customer experience and the profitability of DWF.

    Responsibilities

    • Supports and specializes in the overall care and handling of warehouse and delivery operations.
    • Assists the Branch Manager with the training of the Warehouse Utility and Driver staff.
    • Complies with safety standards, 100% of the time.
    • Identifies and understands all flowers stocked in the cooler.
    • Ensures overall product quality.
    • Assists Fresh and Hardgoods Buyers in adjusting purchase orders (POs), as necessary.
    • Ensures fresh and hardgoods POs are finalized within 24 hours of the vendor truck departing from the vendor location.
    • Ensures box labels for incoming trucks are printed 24 hours before the inbound truck arrives.
    • For weekend product arrivals, ensures box labels are printed by end of day Friday.
    • Assists in receiving inventory, as needed.
    • Reviews customer order allocations to ensure printing of “picking lists”, daily.
    • Assists in unpacking of product for the next day’s allocations. Ensures all processes that can be done for the next day are completed.
    • Documents order discrepancies on “picking lists” and coordinates with the Buyer and/or Manager for proper adjustment in Traze.
    • Assists in pulling customer orders, as necessary.
    • Helps ensure completed customer orders are properly loaded into delivery vehicles and supports efforts for timely, accurate deliveries.
    • Reviews inventory (movement) adjustments as a dump, shrink or other adjustments.
    • Reviews product aging reports to help ensure product quality.
    • Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts.
    • Assists with maintaining and ordering packing supplies.
    • Assists with booking freight and handling of freight company vendor relationships\\Sends all inventory and other expense invoices to Corporate.
    • Sends all vendor month-end vendor statements to Corporate.
    • Sends completed and approved customer and vendor credits to Corporate.
    • Send completed new customer applications/information sheets to Corporate
    • Tracks and files signed customer invoice copies (Proof of Delivery – POD) in customer files per Branch requirements (e.g., Mass Market).
    • Prepares cash deposit and deposits in bank weekly.
    • Sends deposit slips with cash sheets and customer invoices to Corporate for posting.
    • Sends customer credit card receipts and settlement reports with copies of customer invoices to Corporate for posting.
    • Deposits (scans) customer checks into bank (UMB), sends deposit report, copies of checks and customer invoices to Corporate.
    • Matches gas receipts to fuel reports.
    • Reconciles petty cash, ensuring cash drawer balances weekly. Sends petty cash reconciliation to Corporate.
    • Prepares a monthly FedEx mailing to Corporate including manual checks and other correspondence, as necessary.
    • Orders office supplies, as needed.
